Research
The Munich Center on Governance (MCG) promotes and facilitates interdisciplinary research and innovative collaborations between researchers from different fields:
Main Fields of Research at MCG
- Analysis of complex governmental regimes in terms of the interaction of a variety of coordination mechanisms, such as law and consensus or market and hierarchy
- Study of the institutional design of different governance regimes, which are characterized by territorial differentiation and differing levels of governance: particular attention is given to the effectiveness of federalism and the design of new transnational institutions.
- Investigating the influence of the media on decision-making processes in politics, business, and law and observing the impact of this development on the functioning and performance of the affected regulatory domains
